CoD Cold War Free Access Week | How to download the Outbreak demo – VG247
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone are now in their second season.
Most of the new content is accessed via the shared battlepass, including full access to the Outbreak zombies mode. However, from February 25th until March 4th, free players can download a limited-time demo of the new maps and modes.

How to download the free access week demo on PC
Open the Battle.net launcher or the Blizzard desktop app.
Go to the “Call of Duty: BOCW” tab and hit “Try for Free” to download. This may also show up on the launcher’s home page.
How to download the free access week demo on PS4/PS5
Search for “Call of Duty free access” on the PlayStation Store. Due to the limited-time nature of the demo, it might also show up on the “What’s Hot” section of the home page.
Go to the listing for “Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War – Free Access Week” under “Editions”, and click “Add to Library”.
How to download the free access week demo on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S
Search for “Call of Duty free access” on the Microsoft Store.
Alternatively, follow this link directly to the “Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War – Free Access Week” listing on the Xbox Live store. There’s also an alternate link if you want to version optimised for the Series X|S.
Microsoft lists the demo separately, so simply click “Get” to download.
What to do if free access mode isn’t working
Some users have reported difficulties getting the free access week download to show up on digital storefronts. Restarting your PC or console may be the solution.
If you’ve downloaded the free access week content but are having difficulties getting the game to launch, it may be the result of overloaded servers. We’re still waiting on official word from the Call of Duty team as to what server maintenance will be taking place.
